About the designer
Bjørn Sigurd Østern (1937–1996) was one of Norway’s most innovative mid-century jewelry designers. At David-Andersen, he combined modernist silver forms with native stones such as thulite and amazonite, helping shape a new era in Scandinavian design that blended geometric modernism with cultural tradition. His Troll Series remains one of the most celebrated jewelry collections of 20th-century Norway.
For collectors, design enthusiasts, or travelers interested in Norwegian heritage, this pendant represents a rare opportunity to own an authentic piece of mid-century Scandinavian design history.
