Elegant crystal plate from the celebrated Sne series by Norwegian designer Per Spook – a luminous work that balances function and art, inspired by snow, ice, and northern light.

Material: Clear crystal with chalk-white base and genuine gold leaf

Size: 29 cm in diameter (approx. 11.4 in)

Weight: just over 2 kg (approx. 4.4 lbs)

Designer: Per Spook for Magnor Glassverk

Period: Introduced 1995

Condition: New and unused – in original wooden gift box (box shows age and wear, but protects the piece and adds rustic charm)

Markings: Engraved Per Spook signature on the base

Although described as a plate, this piece lies on the border between plate and bowl. It has graceful depth and rests on a subtle foot, giving it both presence and versatility. Its substantial weight and shimmering surface make it an ideal centerpiece, striking whether displayed on its own or used for serving.

What makes Sne captivating is its delicate, Arctic character. Each form is slightly irregular, as if shaped by nature itself, evoking snow, ice, and glacier landscapes under the sun. The luminous white crystal glows in light, while the suspended gold leaf sparkles vividly in contrast.

The Sne collection includes bowls, plates, vases, and wine glasses – several still available from Magnor today. I also offer another similar plate (without box) as well as two small bowls in my shop.
